Congratulations to Dr Will Hutchison who was given the Willy Aspinall award from the UK Volcanic and Magmatic Studies group. The award is “made to the lead author of an outstanding paper on applied volcanology within three years of being awarded a PhD at a university in the UK“. Will Hutchison saw off stiff competition from several other candidates. He was invited to Leeds for the VMSG annual meeting where he gave a keynote talk on his work.
