Adrian Finch and Anouk Borst were delighted to be invited to be part of the Rare Earth Industries Association (REIA) launch in Brussels 25-27 June 2019. We both gave presentations on the geology of Rare Earth deposits, with Adrian focussing on the magmatic history of such deposits and Anouk on the late-stage alteration that can bedevil attempts and mineral processing. We also presented a poster from Nicky Horsburgh on the potential for smart sorting of rare earth ore. At the end of the conference, Anouk was invited to be part of the final discussion event about the directions of Rare Earth exploration.
